I compiled jack2 with current master (9c929bef39e1, which is
probably
the one they use in KXStudio) and compiled Pd against this new
jack. I
also get segfaults when running Pd with -rt. The backtrace looks
pretty
similar to yours. As you already reported, other Jack clients run
fine.

running a too new version of Jack2). What do you think is causing

The backtrace says it, but I'm not knowledgeable enough to interpret
it.
Is it something that needs to be fixed in Pd or in Jack2?
I can't really tell. I tend to think it may require a change in Pd, but
that's just an uneducated guess.
Miller, I know you aren't using jack, but would it be possible for you
to try to compile pd with jack against the current jack version from
https://github.com/jackaudio/jack2 ?
