i mean the file associations via mime-types, which are (normally) also picked up by your File Manager. > If not, is it > possible for the user to make these file associations? For the File > Manager, in Dolphin "pd" is the application associated with the file the file-association should be for "pd-gui" rather than "pd" (the Pd-GUI has all the logic to prevent double starts; the Pd-core does not, and imho should not) hgsdmt IOhannes
