If there is nothing really wrong with that define, we could just set it when 
building port midi. See portmidi/Makefile.am/...

Unless the system has issues with it, it would be good to have closer behavior 
between operating systems. In general, Pd doesn't;t really stop you from 
flooding the output anyway...
