I just checked, the icon file is not used by the application (in any format). So I opened up a wish command line/window and sent those commands. A bit surprising: - using a format that tcl 8.6 recognizes (gif, ico, ppm,...) the application crashes with the previous SGI X Error. - using a format that the SGI X window server should accept (xpm, or sgi image format), tcl returns an error (what you had above) even when I do the format conversion from gif in Irix. Since the error doesn't crash the application I didn't pay attention before, but the icon is never installed
I don't know enough about tcl, but I don't see how to solve that issue right now. At this point we may just skip the icon all together for Irix.
