We have a collection of about 400 PDF documents (user's manuals,
many of them quite large) that we distribute on four CDs. Previously we
distributed this library with an Acrobat-based front end that allowed users
to navigate to a document.
We would like to provide the library with a hierarchical (tree-like)
navigation index and enhanced search capabilities (all words in a phrase,
boolean, etc.). Our users need to be able to search across all the CDs in
the collection. Many users will want to copy the entire collection to their
hard drive or network and be able to search it there.
Is there a commercially available tool that will do all or part of
this?
