Pat,

I'm sorry, I didn't explain it well. What I'd like to have happen is for the thumbnails in the pdf file, to be named the same as the tabs are already named in the Excel workbook. I'm not sure if this is possible in one step or not. If not, is there a way to write a script or something that would go through and rename all the thumbnails? I've done it manually by going to the thumbnail, telling it to renumber, changing it to None, and then typing the "name" I want in the prefix box. The tabs will always be named the same(for this workbook anyway) and will always be in the same order, so even if I had to run a script or something after creating the pdf, that would work. Now other workbooks would have different names, so may have to do those manually, I don't know.

Your help is greatly appreciated. :) This is my first foray into the pdf world. :)

Thanks!
Shawn

Glad I could help!

As far as the worksheet tabs go, to my knowledge that's an Excel fix, not a
PDF one.

In the Page Set up Menu, select the Header/Footer tab. YOu should be able
to select the footer option that shows your worksheet name. If you already
have a customized footer, then you'll have to customize each page.

Pat,

Thanks! That did it! :) Now, is there any way to get the worksheet tab
names into the pdf file as well? Say like having them show up on the
thumbnails?

Thanks again!! :)

I've had this problem in the past too and I've managed to fix by setting

all

pages to the same dpi (strange I know)

first select ALL of your worksheets..

From the pull down menu select File => Page Setup

On the Page tab there is an item on the bottom of the screen that says "Print Quality", usually options are 300, 600, 1200.

There maybe nothing in this field if your worksheets are set to a

different

print quality. Choose one then save your file..

I don't know why this happens or why this works, but it should fix your
problem ... of course you need to print ENTIRE WORKBOOK as well.

good luck

then asks for another file name. I need to be able to print the entire
workbook into one pdf file. How can I do this?

Thanks!
Shawn
