Dear Bill-
Most printers do not want color profiles on their PDF files. Many pdf preflight and editing programs strip these file of any icc code before the file is sent to the rip station. the profile will just confuse the rip program. You should identify the enviroment the images are going to print in-work your images with that profile active- then strip the profile out of the files before saving. Then distill. and don't color manage black type.
