andym I'm not sure what you're working with, but if your ultimate aim is to produce an "emailable" PDF here's what I would do. I would import the Photoshop Tif or Eps into either Freehand or Quark or InDesign and create a PDF from there. That should create a much smaller PDF than you would have directly from Photoshop.
