[PDF-Basics] Page numbering in Acrobat

I have a PDF that was created from multiple Word files and I want to put page numbers on each page. I know that there are several plug-ins that will do this, and I was wondering whether Acrobat 6 Professional will do it (down and dirty) or if there is a free plug-in somewhere that will allow for the placing of page numbers.   Ed
