Title: Renumbering a collection of Pdf's
Hi.
I'm producing a cd rom with 4 volumes (two languages, and that makes 8 to manage), each consisting of 30 chapters or so, that I want to keep separate in order to facilitate searching with Catalog.
I would like to renumber the pdfs pages in order to show, for example in Chapter 15 "Vol. I - 158 (1 of 24)". What i succeded up to now via the batch command is "Vol. I - 1 (1 of 24)"
Hope this is clear. I want every chapter to have:
a) the volume number
b) the absolute number, referring to the total amount of pages in that particular volume
c) the standard relative number enclosed between parenthesis, as Acrobat normally do
I tried with Enfocus products, but they tend to edit the actual numbers ON pages, not the Acrobat numbering system, the one that appears in the lower bar of the pdf window itself.
Can someone suggest a solution to this? _javascript_? Applescript? Prayers? Fancy dances under the full moon?
Thx,
Frillo
