<<I'm looking into the Adobe developer kit/program and have a few
questions. I foresee purchasing this kit if it meets our business
needs. >>

According to the new business model, you join ASN and the SDK (and much
other documentation) is free, as part of a benefit of membership.

<<We now need the ability to modify the menu selection within Adobe. We
need to create an instance of the 'Find Next' dialog box which would
stay on the user's screen, enabling them to find the next occurrence of
a word without having to go to the file menu each time.>>

In Acrobat 4/5, that is a preference (Ctrl-K) as to whether you want the
results to stay visible. In Acrobat 6, it seems that the Search Pane stays
up until you close it.

<<Does the Adobe Developer Program/Kit offer this versatility? Are we able
to modify the code within the Adobe Kit? Does the Adobe Kit offer
support and/or code samples that would assist us with these particular
matters? >>

Remember that anything you implement as a plug-in needs to be distributed to
all of your users. Also note, that there are much greater restrictions on
what capabilities you can add to a Reader environment as opposed to an
Approval/Acrobat environment.
