There are from page 196 in Adobe Help: "Acrobat comes with the default signature handler Acrobat Self-Sign Security for basic signing purposes. Self-Sign Security is included in the default Acrobat installation.Third- party signature handlers are available on the Acrobat CD for custom installation (Windows). For information on compatible handlers from third-party vendors, see the Security folder on the Acrobat CD and the Adobe Web site (www.adobe.com)." IF you create a signature in self sign security and send the public key with your document. No other signature that looks like yours will be valid against the public key. PKI is something we all have to get used to It is inherently more secure than centraly administered passwords. -----Original Message----- From: Santucci, Traci [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Thursday, June 19, 2003 11:35 AM To: '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' Subject: [PDF-Forms] Signatures in PDF From PDF-Forms is a service provided by PDFzone.com | http://www.pdfzone.com/ __________________________________________________________________ I need to allow for approval signatures on a PDF form but the Digital Signature feature is not secure enough for me. The issue is that anyone can create a signature with any name. Is there a tool or 3rd party plugin that will pull security/account information from UNIX or W2K AD? Thanks!
