Friends, please excuse me for posting this question to this newsgroup. But I was finding no other place and I thought some of you will help me out.
Can I find a free tool to extract the text out of a PDF file, that should work without requiring Acrobat.
I shall truly appreciate a reply to this.

Adobe Reader provides this function since version 5 (may be 5.0 or 5.1, I can't remember now) on Windows and since version 6 on Mac OS.
