What happens when you actively set the focus to that field (using the setFocus() method)?

Hope, this can help.

I have a problem with losing focus on a PDF form.

I have a form in which, when I tab off a field, I run a script to communicate with a server to run a server-side script. Unfortunately, the focus is then not set on the next field in the tab order. In fact, it is nowhere to be seen. However, if I tab or back tab, the focus reappears on the next or previous field as it should. So apparently, the focus is, in some sense, on the correct field but the cursor is not visible and I cannot input to that field.
