Hi Laurie,

If the pdf form you have is already a fillable form, then it's a matter of merging data with the form. If it's a flat pdf form, you need to either add fields onto the form and then merge the form with the data; or 'map' the flat pdf form and insert the data as texts into the form at appropriate locations. Adding input fields or 'mapping' the form require some manual operations; merging data or inserting text can be done automatically if you have the right tools.

Date: Thu, 28 Aug 2003 12:55:49 -0400

I am inquirying on the ability of PDF.

I have an extensive form that I want the fields to automatically be
populated with content from another program. The information is stored
within a Synergy developed program.

Can this be accomplished using PDF Forms and if so how?? What costs are
involved( Do I need to purchase the Developers Kit?) and is there support
offered from Adobe so I can develop this form.

ALso, can PDF handle XML input/ouput

Any and all assistance is greatly appreciated.

If there are thrid party tools available to make the interface creation
easier please advise.

Thank You
