Sorry if had not made my problem clear..

Using version 6.00 if the form is completed and submitted using 6 reader and I resume 5.00 reader then the response takes place in a browser window - a normal html page thanking them for the data etc etc.

However if the user has full Acrobat (Version 6 Pro in my case) when they open the file, which is not delivered by a web site but as an email attachment and go on to submit the form the Acrobat takes over, submits the form and grabs and converts the same confirmation page into a PDF.

This is not a disaster but is not what we want if we can avoid it.

I suspect if the PDF was being delivered through a web action and opened in the browser rather than a local PDF file the problem would not exist.

To summarise, how can you open a local file in full acrobat with a html form submission and ensure the response to the form submission fires up through the browser rather than Acrobat converting the web response?

What version of Acrobat are you using?? Think version 6 is better with this
but with version 5 it returns a local HTML file (i.e. C:\webpage.html) with
broken links and images....You need to use a redirect or use <base
href="http://www.yoursite.com";> to make the returned HTML file look
correctly...
