I think I can help you fix this, first:

What version of the PSM are you running?

What version of Quark are the PDF's coming from?

What Distiller settings are being used (Press, Print, eBook, Screen)
Acrobat 5 or (Standard, High Quality, Press, PDF/X-1a, PDF/x3, Smallest
File Size) Acrobat 6? Or have they/you built a custom set?

What is your PDF version (1.2, 1.3, 1.4, 1.5) after the file has been
distilled?

Do you have Acrobat 6? There is a Separation preview tool and a
Preflight tool to determine if the spot color was sent correctly from
Quark.

There is a distiller job option that may fix this, but older versions of
the Scitex RIPs automatically ignore the spot color info.

Sincerely,

Mira Rubin

Subject: [PDF-Forms] Quark Tiffs to Spot colour

PDF-Forms is a service provided by PDFzone.com | http://www.pdfzone.com/
__________________________________________________________________

Can anyone please give guidance? I am having problems outputting PDF
files with tiff files that have been coloured in Quark as spot colours.
I am running to PSM and outputting on a Dolev. I have all of Creos
Xtensions for spot colour but none of them work. This only happens with
imported PDF.

Positive feedback welcomed. . .

regards
Steve
