You might have a look at the setInterval() and setTimeOut() App object JavaScript methods. Actually, the procedure is pretty much the same as if you would do it on a web page.

Does anyone know of a way to put a timer in a PDF form? I would like to enable a PDF form to ping the server every minute to let it know that the client is still alive and also to warn the user if the server is about to time him out.
