One of our techs just came by to install a copy of Document Server 5 on my machine and had to stop because it requires(?) Java SDK and Perl SDK (did I get that right?). When setting up the install, he asked me what features I wanted so I told him that I had no experience in this software and thought he should install it all because part of my job is to test it out. My question is this: Does anybody know if I need to install Java SDK and/or Perl SDK to make this application work? It's a real PITA to get approval from our IT department to install more software on these machines. We just got approval for Document Server but I may have to wait a week or more before getting permission to install the other elements. I've been digging around Adobe's web site but cannot find anything specific about these elements in regards to ADS. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
