Guess what, yes...

Assume that you have a set of document level scripts you use all over the place.

1. Create an empty PDF (app.newDoc(xxx, yyy) in the Console).

2. Create, develop and test your functions and scripts.

3. Attach them to that empty PDF.

4. Add fields you want to add to every document too.

5. When done save this PDF with a catching name.

With that, you have done the preparations.

Now, for attaching these scripts proceed as follows:

1. Open the document you want to attach the scripts and fields to.

2. Display the Thumbnails

3. Open the previously created empty PDF with a catching name.

4. Display the Thumbnails

5. Arrange the windows so that you have both thumbnail panels accessible.

6. Grab the thumbnail of the only page of the empty PDF with a catching name and drag it over, before the first page, of the document you want to attach the scripts and fields to.

7. Duplicate the fields to their appropriate pages (optional).

8. Discard the transferred page.

9. Check the document level scripts ... you are there.

The procedure sounds much more complicated than it actually is. Of course, you can also transfer scripts from one "active" file to another; you might however transfer more than you actually need (such as fonts etc.).

Hope, this can help.

I'm finding several of my JavaScript functions are used on several of
the forms. At the moment, I'm cutting-and-pasting each function into
the new PDF document one at a time.

I'm wondering if there's an easier way. Can I import the document level
scripts from one PDF to another PDF?
