Concur, Rich.

I was able to change file associations in Windows, but as you say it
changes everything. I though Reader would be a "plug-in" for IE and
thus thought that somewhere I could define said "plug-in". I guess this
is not the case.

Bummer. :-(

I can't seem to find anything in IE that allows one to choose between
Acrobat and Reader (Windows XP).

And, I can't find anything in Acrobat's preferences, either, that allows
this choice.

Thus, it becomes a system issue. The system will choose whichever
program is the default application to open PDF files. You can change the
action from Acrobat to Reader, but this means that all PDF's will be
opened by Reader.

Hi, Marc

I too want to force my browser to use the reader (6 in my case) but it
always uses Acrobat. I'm probably the one who's posted this question (a
few
times) but have got no answer. I don't know if it's possible. Even
Adobe didn't know (and we pay for their Premium Support).

If you do find out, please let me know. I'll do the same.

Thanks,
Mark
