JavaScript related questions are since Acrobat 6 got introduced considered to be developer support cases. You will first have to become menber of the ASN, and then you are free to buy developer support cases (if someone from the developer association reads this, please correct me if I am wrong).

And, no, Adobe (well, essentially John Warnock and a relatively small team) did invent and develop Acrobat. And considering some of the material which floated around last year in conjunction with the 10th anniversary of Acrobat makes believe that John Warnock's vision was extremely far reaching. BTW, to nitpick a little bit, in another post, the original name of Acrobat was mentioned; however that was Carousel.

Hope, this can help

What bothers me is Adobe's attitude towards it's customers. And I'm talking about paying (Acrobat) customers. Take Adobe's support: From Germany, I have to call a phone number in Scotland, only to find out that there's virtually no support for javascript related problems. If you go by value for money, this list should carry a price tag higher than Acrobat.

I have at times been wondering whether Adobe just bought the original Acrobat software and only by and by found out what marvellous stuff there's inside - only to take it out in the next version and market it separately. (I still keep my Acrobat 4 around for it's OCR-capabilities.)
