You can save (_javascript_) the value of "Date to expire" to a variable and restore the field's value it after import is finished.

Betreff: [PDF-Forms] FDF Export & Import

Thanks for responding David but unfortunately I'm not going this route. I'm using the garden variety File - Export - Form Data......
In my form(flattened after having reached an expiry date) I have a hidden read-only field with an expiry date set as default.
After expiry some users may require to import data from a previous(epired/flattened) form and populate the same form(with new expiry date) What happens now is that the field data exorts fine but on import overwrites the"Date to expire" field data in the new form.
Whoa this hurts !! Sudden brainwave ..... Perhaps a simple _javascript_ to clear or remove "Date to expire" field on expiry date ?

Marc

When you set your button "actions" to "submit a form" (im assuming your going this route) look for "Field selection" in the dialog box and change from "All fields" to "Only these"...

Hi Folks

Is there any way in which to prevent/restrict/limit a particular field's data from exporting ?

Thanks in advance
Marc
