I run Acrobat 5.0.5 under W2K and Office
XP. I prefer to have Acrobat open the resultant PDF after distillation. I
do distillation both via the Office toolbar buttons (PDFMaker macro) and by
printing the document to the Distiller printer. This is done in the
PDFMaker settings with the "View Result in Acrobat" drop-down menu option and it
is done in the Acrobat Distiller printer preferences / Adobe PDF Settings tab /
"View Result in Acrobat" checkbox. These settings toggle Registry settings as
follows:
For PDFMaker,

infrequently. There's either a bug here or there's more to the story that I'm
not aware of. I've seen this problem posted elsewhere, but have never seen it
explained and a workaround posted. Ideas? Thanks.
