Another alternative would be to outline the fonts in Quark (text to box), which then means that the text is seen as an illustration- dont use this function is your text is 7pt & under though, as it can become illegible. Also, if your distiller is set up to embed all fonts from your PC, then you shouldn't have a problem, provided the quark eps files were created by yourself on your machine.
