Nope. Can't do it. Regardless of whether you use frames or not, you can't use the IE
Back button to get back to the exact spot you were at. It'll always go back to the
first page. I've asked this question before. It's a pain. But it's something you
and your users just have to live with.

As for the Acrobat Back button (assuming you're talking about the buttons in the
toolbar that appear directly above the PDF when using the IE browser), it only applies
to the current PDF you're viewing. That is, navigating to the next page, previous
page, next view, previous view of the CURRENT PDF document.

Subject: [PDF] PDF problem in IE history!!!

Hi!
I tried to publish a website frame-structured with the classical navigation bar on
left frame and the selected(s) PDF document(s) to be visualized in the central frame;
each PDF document contains several links to other PDF to open in the same (central)
frame.
But using these links, the history buttons (back - forward) on both browsers (Acrobat
Reader 5 and Internet Explorer 5) don't work: going from a certain page of a PDF to a
certain page of another, the "back" button of IE returns to the first page of the
previous document, and Acrobat shows the first page of the second document. So, the
navigation becames very hard!
Anyone can help me?
Thanks.
