We use Appligent's StampPDF for document labeling/pagination and
are very pleased with it.

Subject: [PDF] Adding footers and
re-paginating pdf documents
Hello,
We are an
engineering firm that puts together some pretty complex reports using
primarily MS Word and Excel, but we also include graphics forms and text from
another software program. For efficiency and user-friendliness, we are
trying to go to a PDF report with all of the above types of
files included. I have been successful getting all of the files
into Acrobat 5.0.5 with very good results, but I am looking for an easy way to
add headers and footers and automatically page number sections and appendices
without a ton of user cutting and pasting and manual positioning. I have
found an excellent third-party plug-in (Infodata Compose) that will do what we
are looking for, plus a lot more, but it is rather expensive. I also see
that Acrobat 6.0 has footer and page numbering capabilities. For anyone
who has worked with this feature, is it easy to format and place the footers
and page numbers and is it flexible enough to handle chapters and
appendices? Any other comments or suggestions on this topic will be
greatly appreciated.
Best regards,
Mike Croud
