Hello All!  .... This list is a really wonderful resource - particularly for a newbie 
like me. Thank you for your timely response and help.

My stated problem was that Math Equations were NOT converted into PDF from my WORD 
Document. .... I tried every suggestion offered and was encouraged that MS Equation 
3.0 conversions were working for Scott. It didn't work for me -- so I looked harder.

SOLUTION: Uncheck  WORDS-TOOLS-OPTIONS-VIEW-SHOW_Field Codes (I am experimenting with 
embedding pdfmark field codes for named destination definition within WORD)

In my search - I found it possible to create Math Symbols in HTML, and these symbols 
were converted accurately into PDF. This is cumbersome  - but maybe it could help 
someone on this list. Check out: http://comers.citadel.edu/math_sym.htm for these HTML 
Codes.
