Many thanks to those who offered suggestions to my last query about non-printing backgrounds. My next query is something I've noticed in the past but it's never been a real problem ... but now it is. Well it's certainly a nuisance that I can't fathom out. If I set a Bookmark - say to go to a section heading - in a PDF close to the bottom of the page when I click on the Bookmark the display jumps to the top of the next page rather than to the line that I've bookmarked. Yes, there are fudges to get around it but none that reliably put the Bookmarked line at the top of the displayed area which is what I really want - but I was beginning to wonder whether it was just one of those things that can't be done! Then I noticed that if the Bookmarks are generated automatically by FrameMaker I get what I want - so it's obviously possible to do it. Unfortunately not all of my PDFs come from FrameMaker so I'm still keen to know how to insert a Bookmark that goes to the bottom of the page manually. I've put a couple of examples up so you can see what I mean - http://www.aots37.dsl.pipex.com/privates/pdf_bookmark_problems.htm. The one that doesn't do what I want in the manually done version is 'Heading 2'. Has anyone else come across this or, better still, got a solution? Thanks.
