The PDF list is a service provided by PDFzone.com | http://www.pdfzone.com __________________________________________________________________
The message you get is coming from Acrobat 5, and is triggered by the PDF version indication. It can be annoying, but is normally harmless.
On the other hand, Acrobat 5 is (still) well-behaved, and opens the document, and only complains any further if it does not understand something ... meaning that if the document has been written with Acrobat 6, but does not use anything new for Acrobat 6, it will open without problems.
Your client has the possibility to use the Optimizer to write the document with Acrobat 5 compatibility.
Hope, this can help.

We received some pdf's from a client and when we opened them in Acrobat 5.05 (Mac OS9) we received the following message
"This file may contain newer information then this viewer can support. It may not open or display correctly. Adobe recommends that you upgrade..."
We do not have OSX yet so we have not upgraded to Acrobat 6. Can the client save it down to Acrobat 5?
