Pre-PDF, it depends on what application you’re using to create your document. Post-PDF, have you tried Acrobat?

When we make PDFs, the bookmarks look like this: Title Contents Section 1 Section 1.1 Table 1 Table 2 Section 2 Table 3
My desired output is to have all the tables grouped together like this: Title Contents Table 1 Table 2 Table 3 Seciton 1 Section 1.1 Section 2
Does anyone have any ideas on how to do this? I've tried nearly every PDF tool I could find, I've tried macro tools, I've even tried to read postscript to see if I could make a macro that would edit a decompiled file. So far no luck. Help!
