Didn't try it myself and don't know whetehr it works (and it is somehow
cumbersome) but anyway:

- export to PDF so you have all the eBook/interactive features
- send through Distiller with appropriate Distiller setting, e.g. Screen
or eBook (optimize for speed or not does not make much of a difference here)

- open exported PDF file in Acrobat
- replace pages in exported PDF with pages from the distilled PDF (see
menu Document, Replace pages...)

- result (should be): interactive features (which do not make use of
embedded fonts) _and_ plain old Type 1 or TrueType fonts for Helvetica
and others from the distilled pages in one PDF file.
