WebDAV is not an Adobe implemetation. Applications that have built in WebDAV
functionality (Illustrator, FrameMaker, etc.) will work with any web server
that is WebDAV enabled.
OS X does indeed support WebDAV. However, OS X ships with the Apache 1.3 web
server, whereas the modules required for WebDAV are for use with Apache 2.0.
The options are to download and install Apache 2.0 on an OS X system, or use
OS X server which ships with the Apache 2.0 web server. In either case, you
need to install the extension modules required to enable WebDAV.
