I'm at my wits end here. I run Mac, OS 10.2.6. I was using Acrobat 5 with Distiller 4.
Over the weekend I upgraded to Acrobat 6 Standard. I do a great deal of pdf work for my clients including eBooks and really needed to be able to work on X and not Classic.
Here is the issue (btw, Deal Chat suggested I come here with this problem - they're at a loss).
I've been reformatting my clients projects in MS Word. Most times that's how they send the original file, so I clean it up, add header graphics etc - it's a lot simpler than re-keying 40 pages. When I installed Acrobat 6, it added two icons to the Word tool bar; click to pdf and click to pdf/email.
My documents in Word are set up for standard 8-1/2 x 11 formatting, portrait layout. However when I PDF, the end result is an 11 x 8-1/2 or landscape layout.
I have double and triple checked the setting in both Acrobat and Distiller to make sure nothing is over-riding the Word settings.
I never had this issue with Acrobat 5.
I have no idea where else to turn right now. I did go to Acrobat help online - but could turn up nothing on the issue.
Please help! I cannot be the only person this has happened to (then again the way my week's gone it wouldn't surprise me).
