(1) Unless you actually have ITC Zapf Dingbats installed on your system (in your fonts
directory or via ATM), Distiller cannot embed the font. ITC Zapf Dingbats is NOT
included with Acrobat 6.
(2) Note that Adobe Illustrator is NOT, repeat NOT, repeat yet again NOT a general
editor of PDF files. The only PDF files that can safely opened by Adobe Illustrator
are those PDF files saved by Adobe Illustrator itself with the "save editability"
option checked. In other cases, graphic elements and/or other aspects of your PDF file
may be permanently lost or modified by simply opening and subsequently saving a PDF
page in Adobe Illustrator!
