I beg to differ. We've been running Pitstop Server 1.61 on a G4 for over a year and it has been VERY viable. The new Pitstop Server 3 has to run on OSX or Windows and we're currently moving to the OSX version. Pitstop Server 1.61 worked exactly as it should as long as we were running it on a fairly powerful, dedicated machine. It DOES NOT require a server level OS as it uses hot folders and doesn't really run as a true SERVICE on the OS (So you can run it on Windows 2K Professional and don't have to worry about getting the server edition or you can run it on XP for that matter, which is not really a server OS at all--although it WILL run servers such as IIS, etc., but not if you're going to expect much out of it). Just my 2-cents. _____ John Clifford GTS Companies A TechBooks Company Technical Support 5650 Jillson St., Los Angeles, CA 90040 (323) 888-8889 * FAX (323) 888-1849 [EMAIL PROTECTED] <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> --------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------ "Using PDF to Create a Softproof Paperless Workflow" will be the subject of a 1-hour seminar to be presented by John Clifford, Adobe Certified Expert (ACE) in Acrobat 6, at PDF Conference 2003/West on November 11 in Anaheim, CA. You need/want a viable server OS to run the product and OS 9 doesn't qualify.
