The PDF list is a service provided by PDFzone.com | http://www.pdfzone.com __________________________________________________________________

I have a Word documents with bookmarks in it (e.g. MY_BOOKMARK_1, ...). Using Acrobat distiller, I convert it to a PDF document. I would like the Word bookmarks to be converted to PDF named destinations so that I can link to specific sections of the PDF document (e.g. http://www.xyz.com/document.pdf#MY_BOOKMARK_1). Unfortunately Adobe distiller does not seem to do this.

I would appreciate if someone could give me a few pointers to solve this (even if this involves using a different converter).

I know that it is possible to create bookmarks in the pdf document from styles or headings but this doesn't help much. Alternatively is there some way of converting a location marker (not sure about this) in Word, other than a bookmark, to a destination in a pdf document?

Thanks in advance,

Doug
