You might try AutoBookMark
This may work for what you need to do.

is there a way to automatically generate bookmarks for a large collection of documents by _javascript_ or other method rather than the tedious manual way??? i know there is the bookmark object, but i don't understand how to apply it.

Subject: [PDF] Jumping to Specific page when file is local

Hello all,

Hopefully this is the appropriate place to post this question.

I have a listing of files on the web where some of the files are opened useing “action commands” to jump to a specific page

<a href="">Executive Summary Event Report

This works great until I need to distribute this on CD-Rom

The html page displays just fine and most pdf files open just as they should in the browser until you try to open a document that jumps to a specific page,

Doing this returns the “page cannot be displayed” message in the browser.

If I remove the command (#page=31) it finds/opens the document but to page 1.

Is there a way to code the html where the document will open to the correct page? Or some other work around?

I have multiple links that open different pages of the same document so I cannot break the document into multiple documents.

Regards,

Greg
