I have both Acrobat 5.0.5 and 6.0.1 installed on a Windows XP Pro system. First, I renamed the PDF Writer and Distiller print drivers to "PDF5 Writer" and "Distiller5" respectively, then installed Acrobat 6. (It installed "Acrobat PDF", which I renamed "Acrobat6 PDF"). Two cautions: I don't allow Acrobat 5 to reconfigure browser settings, and everything works in Acrobat 6. Second, the Acrobat macros in MS Office don't work (disconnected) so I disabled them. It's really not too much trouble to just "File | Print" to the writer(s) or Distiller. Works fine. The only reason I keep 5 around is to use the functionality of Enfocus PowerUpPDF. I'm really starting to like Acrobat 6, just wish the Catalog function hadn't changed. Does anybody know if that is true TIA Rob Cairns To change your subscription: http://www.pdfzone.com/discussions/lists-pdf.html
