[PDF] global field delete

Is it true that you can no longer globally delete form fields duplicated on a number of pages in a document? Using Acrobat 6pro I have created and duplicated a form field throughout a document. When I try to delete the field on a specific page and on all other pages containing the field I no longe4r get the dialogue "The field exists on other pages are you sure you want to delete the field" .......or something to that effect

Is that option truly gone?
