Unless I missed something the TOC concept works perfectly well for creating
"Bookmarks" and can only be accessed from within the PDF Named destinations
are a different concept that allows a link via a http reference. I've been
looking for an automated method of creating "Named Destination's" from
bookmarks created by the TOC. Any ideas?

Jane,
If you setup a TOC in Word with links to the content, the same links remain
when you convert the document to a PDF. The length of the document should
not make a difference.

I have worked with some very large documents that had problematic links, so
if you have further questions, I may be able to help.

Is it possible to have a link go from a Table of Contents Page to a named
destination
in the same Adobe PDF document? I have a 300 page MS Word document and
would like to be able to link to named destinations throughout the document.

Can this be accomplished with bookmarks?

I have Adobe Acrobat 6.0 Professional and am working on an XP Operating
System.

I would greatly appreciate assistance.
