Outside the CAD industry no one knows what to do with a DWF. PDF is
ubiquitous. As for the viewer, voloview is no longer free, you must
buy it. There is a free viewer shipped with Autocad, and I assume
it's available for d/l, but you'd still have to install it everywhere you
needed to have access to the DWF files, hence the attraction for lots of
folks to go to PDF. Lots of report generators, etc., are now
available which output things in PDF format, so it's just getting to the
point where it's beginning to be what Adobe probably envisioned it to
be. Just took a little longer than they probably anticipated.

question. Most clients have Acrobat and some seem resistant to install
additional software, especially CAD related. Is the viewer (Voloview?)

Also, I bought Acrobat 6 and the damm thing
should work.
