I'm currently using Acrobat 5 on Win2K (however, both Acrobat and the OS are subject to upgrade). My company is looking into using Distiller to save screenshots that are chock-full of detailed images. The images are the heart of the application and must come through with excellent resolution. What I've done so far: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ >From Acrobat in Word, I created a pdfoptions file for which: Under General: * Compatibility is Acrobat 5 * Optimize for Fast Web View is off. * Resolution is 1200dpi. Under Compression: * All Compression is off. Under Fonts, I used the original (Screen) defaults) Under Color Management: * Settings = None * Color Management Policies: Leave Color Unchanged * Intent: Default * Preserve Overprint Settins * Preserve Under Color.... Under Advanced, I left the defaults. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ After creating the pdfoptions file, I found that I could use that with Print>Acrobat Distiller to generate a PDF screen print (for which the resolution is pretty good, but not quite good enough). Are there other settings I should be messing with? Is there something I'm not even thinking about yet? Thanks!
