Xerox has a product called color splitter designed to take a single PDF with
color and black and white pages and split them. Example: You send the
whole job to a Docutech (unix system) with color splitter loaded and the
color pages get seperated out of the job and forwarded to a color printer
along with a job ticket printout (like a banner sheet with instructions).
Once the color pages are printed, you insert the pages into the DocuTechs
inserter module (bypasses the fuser) and use the instructions on the banner
sheet to finish the job. The DocuTech then prints the black pages and pulls
in the color pages on the fly generating a completed job at typically the
cheapest cost by running the 2 halves where they are cheapest.

Don't know any product that does anything for foldouts....

Is anyone familiar with a program that will "split" a PDF document to
different printers (i.e. one for doing 8.5x11 black and white pages, one
doing 8.5x11 pages with color ink and one that does foldouts (i.e. 11x30))?

Thanks

Kerry
