Title: Scanning
When you are having a problem with software, you should always make sure you have the latest version. This is the first step to chasing down a solution to a problem.

Canon has an upgrade to the Network Scan Gear (v1.51) which is specifically meant to work with Acrobat 6. You'll find it here:

Acrobat 6 has a maintenance update, too, which you should download from Adobe.

Subject: [PDF] Scanning

I'm continuing to have problems using Acrobat 6.0 Pro on a PC as my scanning tool. I used to use Acrobat 5.0 with the same scanner (a Canon IR 2200 multifunction machine) without any problems. After installing 6.0, and connecting to the scanner, the image will scan to 98% and then cause Acrobat 6.0 to lock up and crash.

I can scan without problems using Photoshop 7.0, Kodak Imaging and any other image acquisition software from the same scanner. I only have this problem with Acrobat 6.0. For workflow purposes, we really would like to use Acrobat 6.0 for image acquisition.

The same thing is happening at other work stations using other Canon IR machines and Acrobat 6.0.

How could I determine if this is an Acrobat problem/setting or a communication problem between Acrobat 6.0 and the scanner driver (Network ScanGear 1.3)?
