Is there a program (or a custom developer who could create a program) that will take various documents and assemble them into one PDF automatically? For example (I know this is a bit long, but please bear with me.):
Assembly1
InhouseVBdocA1 + InhouseVBdocA2 + CaddocA1 + CaddocA2 + CaddocA3 + InhouseVBdocA3 + InhouseVBdocB1 + VendorPDF1 + VendorDoc1
then
Assembly1A
InhouseVBdocA2 + CaddocA1 + CaddocA2 + CaddocA3 + InhouseVBdocA3 + InhouseVBdocB1 + InhouseVBdocB2 + InhouseVBdocA4 + InhouseVBdocA5 + InhouseVBdocA6 + VendorPDF1 + VendorDoc1
then
Job1 = 12 x (Assembly1 + Assembly2 + Assembly3 + Assembly4 + Assembly5 + etc) + 4 x (PDF1 + PDF2 + PDF3 + PDF4 (the PDF's are chosen base on components or equipment tags of the Assemblies))
then
Print Job1 to digital copier
then
Print Assembly1A, Assembly2A, etc to digital copier
We are a custom manufacturer and the "InhouseVBdoc"'s are generated from our own design software. All systems are Windows of various vintages.
Automation is necessary because there are about 50 users of various capabilities at locations in 4 different cities with printing at each location. Assembled PDF's would be saved for archive.
Currently the process is all hardcopy.
Looking for ward to a response...
