It needs to be really easy, something like choosing a printer. It needs to
work on different versions of windows, and if it worked on Mac that would be
a plus. It needs to make press ready PDF files. If I could set up the
preferences and give them a file and tell them were to download the program
that would be great too.

For Windows PrimoPDF could do the job, the web site claims that PrimoPDF can generate "high quality" PDFs, but I don't know if they are prepress compatible...
