Hi folk
Sorry to have been so cryptic.
It has been possible to make slide shows in PDF for some versions now. Prior to version 6 Pro this had to be done manually. A PDF was created from a set of images and using full-screen viewing (Ctrl-L) the times in seconds per slide could be set in preferences. Page actions could be used for adding sound.
In version 6 there is a new set of feature called Picture Tasks accessible from the Picture Tasks icon on the Tasks toolbar. This icon only appears on the toolbar when there is a picture (image) or pictures currently loaded in Acrobat, for example using Create PDF from Multiple files where the chosen files are images.
Right mouse clicking on the Picture tasks icon in the original version 6 gives options of printing, exporting, ordering prints on line etc. After the 6.0.1 update is loaded more options appear for the icon including on option to quickly produce a slide show. The images already loaded can be selected, the order change, and a title entered as well as an audio file such as music for background. On clicking OK the slide show PDF file is created. The title entered appears at the top of the first image file which is reduced in size compared to the rest.
I only have the Pro version so I have no way of knowing whether it also comes up in the patched Standard version but would expect it to since it is a sort of wizard approach while users of the Pro might be expected to do it manually.
If anyone has loaded the 6.0.1 patch in the Standard version I would be interested to know if the slide show option shows up in Picture Tasks. For that matter, does the Standard have Picture Tasks? It doesn't seem to be a menu item as distinct from the toolbar icon.
