Hi Salman,
you're not able to become a committer by request. The PMCs(PPMCs) of an apache
(incubator) project decide by voting if someone should get the right to commit.
Please visit [1] and [2] for further informations. If there are any questions
left, just feel free to ask.
But you don't have to be a commiter to help us (see [3]). We really appreciate
every kind of contribution to our project. If you still want to provide us with
your code, just create a patch and attach it as a diff file to this issue (see
[4] and [5]). Don't forget to check the "Grant license to ASF..." checkbox.
