IIRC, there are two different ways to accomplish this: 1) Set an "On Open" script in the FDF that populates all your fields. 2) Populate the fields directly in the FDF. "2" is quite a bit more straight-forward, but "1" is handy to know about too. Oh, you want syntax? Some people... ;) /Fields [ << /T (Field Name) /Opt [ [ (Display1) (Value1) ] [ (Display2) (Value2) ] ] >> ] /JavaScript << /Before ( /** javascript here **/ ) /After ( /** javascript here **/ ) /Doc ( /** javascript here **/ ) >> --------------------- Display* is what the users see, Value* is the value actualy submitted. The JavaScript dictionary can contain up to 3 different scripts that are executed at various times. I'm not entirely sure what those times are, but a little experimentation on your part should get you an answer in no time. --Mark Storer Software Engineer Cardiff Software #include <disclaimer> typdef std::disclaimer<Cardiff> Discard; > -----Original Message----- > From: Puehn, Karen [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sent: Friday, May 30, 2003 4:32 AM > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]; [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: [PDFdev] dynamic list box prefill from fdf ? > > > > PDFdev is a service provided by PDFzone.com | http://www.pdfzone.com > _____________________________________________________________ > > I have a pdf form which I know how to prefill form fields with > database data via a fdf file and asp/vbscript, > however... > I've now been asked to fill the list field select options from > database query(ies). > > I'm using fdf files generated without the fdf toolkit.
